May 11, 2010 A wet day birding at Pelee
It was a slow wet day birding at Pelee today, lots of wind and rain. The rain started at around 7:00a.m. and continued for most of the day. Not much to report, very birds were active except for red-winged Blackbirds, both Baltimore and orchard Orioles singing along with Yellow Warblers. There was a good concentration of swallows along the West Beach towards the tip which gave many birders an opportunity to study these birds at close range. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some new migrants!
